What Is Dysport®?
Dysport® is abobotulinumtoxinA and is a prescription medication made by Galderma.
What Is The Difference Between BOTOX® And Dysport®?
BOTOX and Dysport are both similar types of bolulinum Type A. They are both used to relax muscles that cause wrinkles and lines. BOTOX and Dysport use different unit systems. 1 unit of BOTOX is approximately equal to about 3 units of Dysport
How Do BOTOX® And Dysport® Work?
BOTOX and Dysport work by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces the muscle activity that causes the formation of moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. When these muscles are relaxed, the wrinkles and lines improve quickly and will continue to improve over time. This treatment is safe and effective when performed by an experienced and qualified healthcare professional.
It is only natural that our skin begins to change with age.
As time goes on, the face starts to lose much of the volume that was originally present during youth, resulting in hollowed features and a sunken appearance. The aging process can take a toll on self-esteem and cause feelings of discomfort, but with nonsurgical treatment, many of the features that have begun to tell your age can be reversed. Dermal fillers are an effective solution for combating wrinkles, creases and folds, and at LowTE Florida®, we offer a variety of fillers that can promote a more youthful countenance.
Features in the face may begin to lose volume due to factors like sun exposure, gravity, diet, genetics, and the overall use of facial muscles. It is because of these attributes that many people seek facial rejuvenation procedures to restore the natural contours in the face. Dermal fillers can tighten the skin and take years off of your appearance.
What is a Dermal Filler?
There are many dermal fillers in production currently that contain various substances known to rejuvenate the skin, however the of fillers used at LowTE Florida® are composed of hyaluronic acid, which is a hydrating solution responsible for keeping the skin full and plump. When injected into the skin, the filler restores otherwise sunken features in order to eliminate lines and smooth the skin.
The types of fillers offered at Destination Aesthetics include:
Juvéderm Volbella® XC

Chemical peels can effectively treat sun damage, age spots, fine lines, and other age or sun-related damage. Chemical peels use a controlled application of medical-grade chemicals to exfoliate the outer surface of the skin and encourage the production of fresh, new skin underneath. We offer a number of chemical peel options to suit various skincare needs. Contact our practice today for a consultation to find out which chemical peel might be right for you.
Microneedling is an advanced micromedical skin needling procedure that stimulates skin regeneration and activates healing. The microneedles create small punctures in the skin, which in turn stimulate new collagen and elastin to form. This natural repairing process creates smoother, brighter, healthier, and younger-looking skin. Microneedling is not painful, has minimal to no downtime, and leaves your skin looking tighter and rejuvenated. It also can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, and stretch marks anywhere on the body for all skin types.
Dermaplaning is a procedure for exfoliating the outer-most layer of skin and ridding it of fine hair we tend to call peach fuzz. It’s a quick service that’s generally performed on the face. It is a manual exfoliation technique with the use of a scalpel and a soft touch, scraping the surface of the skin using light feathery strokes. Why Get It? Dermaplaning not only gets rid of peach fuzz on the face, it also exfoliates removing dead skin cells on the outermost layer.
Using a wand, we gently and painlessly exfoliate the skin with natural diamond chips and vacuum up the dead skin cells, blackheads, whiteheads and other unwanted debris, leaving the skin softer, smoother and noticeably cleaner, even after the first treatment! We recommend multiple treatments for the best results.
